remembrance

do you think the earth remembers?

like how our bodies remember?

water holds memory

and we are water

but does air?

fire?

earth?

or is water the only element sensitive enough to hold onto memory?

maybe the other elements have different functions. when i think of earth i think about preservation. after all, earth is a yin energy like water. i think yin, i think receptive, i think holding and preserving and protecting and keeping

i think yang on the other hand (air and fire) and i think destruction. clearing away what is old and stagnant for new life to come in again. for earth and water to create again

but we need both

the yin and the yang

the inhale and the exhale

the feminine and the masculine

this is the dance of life
