the familiar waves of sadness are creeping in

again

cancer season is here

it’s victimization

it’s yearning for belonging

for family

it’s nostalgia

it’s experiencing every emotion under the sun with extreme intensity

it’s painful

and it’s beautiful

cancers are the kind of people who are capable of holding you as you experience every emotion. they love hard. and they often give so much of themselves for little in return. i wish for every cancerian to experience love the way they give love to others.

cancer is the sign of the mother. a mother’s love is unconditional. ideally. i believe every mother should take a crash course in mothering from a cancer native, because after all, mothering is a cancer’s first language.

true unconditional love is the antithesis of control, and deep down cancer knows this, despite their tendency to grasp and cling to people places and things far beyond their expiration date.
